2019 Participating Musicians:
Andrew Barrack – This Acoustic, Pop, Rock and Jazz multi-instrumentalist comes from the City of San Diego. Over the past few years the multi-instrumentalist played shows back and fourth from LA and SD while achieving his degree in Music Industry from USC’s Thornton School of Music. With influences on his currently released EP ‘High Off of Love’ such as Jason Mraz, John Mayer, and Jack Johnson this feel good music will be the perfect fit for any day.
The Bayou Brothers – If there is a feature of Zydeco music that sets this hybrid of blues apart, it may be the relentlessly upbeat, lets party vibe that permeates so much of it. Where as traditional blues may be about a lowdown woman doing a man wrong, a Zydeco song will more likely be about how she makes a good gumbo and is fun at barbecues. The BAYOU BROTHERS have established themselves locally and beyond as a fixture of the form since the late 90’s, snagged awards (2013 SDMA Best Blues Artists among them), been regulars at all the hottest festivals and have recorded – including their newest CD “High Roller Zydeco” The lineup includes Jack Stephens (guitar/vocals),Danny”Basscat” Perez (bass and vocals) John Chambers (accordion, keys, vocals), Ric Lee (drums, percussion)and “Sista Judy” Seid (rubboard)
Finnegan Blue – Finnegan Blue is a San Diego based band rooted in traditional folk, but play by their own rules. This band blends together rock, bluegrass, Irish, gospel, reggae, and NOLA second line with a punk rock inspired edge to give their music a truly unique sound! Their high-energy original songs are written, sung, and performed by sibling duo and multi-instrumentalists Anna Lee and Willie Fleming, who switch back and forth between acoustic guitar, mandolin, and trombones. They are followed by bandmates Bill Fleming on Electric Guitar, Ronnie Valles on Drums and Percussion, Oskar Beckmann on the Bass, and Malcolm Jones on the Saxophone. Finnegan Blue has toured to New York City, Mexico, Arizona, and Las Vegas. Check them out live, give their album a listen, and follow them on Social Media for updates and more!.
Sam Bybee – With over 20 years experience playing music and endorsements from Taylor Guitars, Gigtown and my mother, I have been lucky enough to make it my full time job. I’ve written and recorded over 5 albums, as a solo artist and as a part of 22 Kings, one of which was produced by Alex Wong, producer of Delta Rae’s “Carry the Fire.” I have even seen this amazing country multiple times, and as I got back from my 5th national tour which included stops at Oysterfest, SXSW and NAMM, among many others I realized just how lucky I was to be able to share that with all of you.
Cardinal Moon– Dawn Mitschele’s compelling voice grows into more expansive territory with her new project Cardinal Moon. The gifted singer/songwriter has joined forces with lyricist Alfred Howard and the accomplished musicians of The Redwoods Music label to amplify the intimacy of her solo work with picturesque tunes that range from bouncy blue eyed pop songs to immersive Southwestern ballads.
Howard sent Mitschele lyrics from the window seat of a Greyhound bus moving through the western US, challenging her to bring the words to life with her inflective vocal style. The collaboration inspired both artists to create tactile compositions imbued with a sense of time and place, invoking scenes of Americana wrought with emotion and reflection.
Dawn Mitschele has released five solo albums, and her playfully seductive vocal performances have made her an in-demand featured vocalist among So Cal recording artists including Bushwalla, Lee Coulter and 9 Theory. Alfred Howard has lent his songwriting prowess to a number of projects, including several bands in collaboration with the collective of instrumentalists recording with The Redwoods Music label, which he co-founded with Matthew Molarius and Josh Rice in 2015.
Lee Coulter – Lee Coulter’s soulful acoustic performances and powerful songwriting have landed him opening for Tom Jones, Chuck Berry and Martin Sexton, on stage with Jason Mraz, and had Sirius XM’s Coffee House channel dub him “the discovery of the year.”
Originally from Brisbane, Australia and now based in San Diego, California, he uses the combined power of lyrics and music to promote the idea that human connection is what separates us from the rest of the matter in the universe. As it is summed up in one of his songs, “Stardust and forces of attraction, that’s all we are.” He is a classic songwriter in the modern age.
Evan Diamond– With a powerful, soulful voice and a three-octave range, Evan Diamond is a two-headed titan of live music, playing 20+ live acoustic solo show a month as well as doing regular plugged-in gigs with her full band, Evan Diamond & The Library.

She then took off to Orange County for the college experience, and throughout those next four years, she honed, tightened and tuned her muscial/lyrical skill. In 2003, she jumped – heart first – into the LA scene. Soon after that she followed that same heart to NYC and, after 2 years with the city at her feet, returned to the west coast.
From her first album Singer in 1999 to her latest 2015 release Little Victories, Allegra never ceases to astonish with her vocal and lyrical skills. Allegra is willing and able to draw from her personal experiences and turn them into music that speaks to our collective core. She writes to inspire the soul and to ignite a sense of undeniable passion she is certain exists, deep down, in everyone. She writes about the deeper truths behind and beyond the everyday that anyone who has felt the pain of loss, or the joy of knowing and being known can appreciate. She believes there is power in happiness and heartbreak, as well as in feeling the rhythm and dancing in the kitchen. And when you listen you will without a doubt fall in love.
Michael J. Dwyer– For more than 4 decades Michael has been playing guitar and singing the music that inspired him from the start. At an early age his influences varied from Bob Dylan to Bob Marley and everything in between. As a singer-songwriter his style gravitates toward Americana-Roots acoustic. Michael’s lyrics are thoughtful, engaging and whimsical with a bit of sarcasm thrown into the mix for good measure.
The late 1970’s and early 1980’s found Michael touring nationally and internationally in the Christian rock n roll band Heirborn. Throughout the latter part of the 1980’s Michael would align himself in various musical incarnations such as the Lehnen-Dwyer Band and The Paradise Highway Band.
As a solo artist Michael is known to have an easy, open, playful manner with his audience often times coaxing the crowd to join in to singing along with the more familiar tunes in his repertoire. Michael mixes it up with a generous portion of cover tunes by artists such as the Eagles, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Bob Dylan, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Simon & Garfunkel, Linda Ronstadt, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac and many more artists that had an influence on our culture and our lives. As a recording artist and record producer, Michael has a number of projects under his belt with national and international distribution.
