Thank you to our art materials partner, Artist & Craftsman Supply, for conducting an interactive activity with Gelli plates to make prints using commonly found objects. This is a fun and versatile way to make prints, using mixed media paper, Akua Liquid pigment inks, gathered materials and speedball Gelli plates.
Guests were able to see how fun and easy this print making technique can be. Once the Gelli plate surface is coated in printmaking ink the image can be created by wiping or dabbing away areas of paint, laying paper or other objects over parts of the paint or even use them to make line monoprints. We will provide a variety of objects to experiment with including leaves, string, paper, sponges, other objects to provide texture.
