Blick Art Materials staff will be demonstrating printmaking techniques that will include linoleum relief block printing and silkscreen screen printing. Attendees can take part in either of these demonstrations by creating a print of their own to bring home.
Attendees will be able to participate in creating their own block print by choosing from an assortment of premade and precut reliefs of designs and shapes they would like to include in their print. Dependent on age and experience of participant, individuals may choose to carve their own 3×5” block of linoleum and roll ink onto the relief under the supervision of Blick staff (linoleum and carving tools will be provided by Blick).
Attendees will also be encouraged to participate in the screen printing demonstration by pulling ink through a silk screen with two available “Blick Little Italy Art Walk” themed designs to choose from on a pre-exposed screen.
Blick staff will be giving away Blick tote bags and Blick t-shirts to any attendees who follow their store’s Instagram page via posted QR code.
