When may I start setting things up?
You may arrive at 6AM on both Saturday and Sunday, April 30 & May 1, 2022 to begin setup. Select blocks are available for set up on Friday. If you require early set up please note so on your application.
Do I need a Seller’s Permit or Business License to sell my art at the festival?
Only a Seller’s Permit is necessary to sell at ArtWalk. A Business License is not required for those selling under 6 days. To apply for a Seller’s Permit, please visit: https://www.cdtfa.ca.gov/services/#Register-Renewals
Do I need to have insurance to participate in ArtWalk fine art shows?
Yes, All artists must have liability insurance and list three entities: Art for People, the City of San Diego and the Little Italy Association of San Diego.

How should I hang my artwork?
There are many strategies artists use for displaying their work. We recommenced displaying with ProPanels, grid-walls, or Flourish mesh type panels. Additionally, some artists have utilized velcro, peg boards, wire shelving, and other professional display systems.
May I drive up to my tent?
Yes. During official setup and tear down times you will be allowed through the barriers with your vehicle. You may drive right up to your tent, unload your vehicle, and immediately move your car (to avoid traffic congestion) Cars are to be moved as soon as unloaded to avoid congestion and so the streets are clear before the event begins. All cars must be off the streets by 9AM in caution of pedestrian traffic.
Where can I park once I’m done setting up?
There are many lots in the event vicinity. Most of them require a fee. Click here for a map of parking that shows parking options in the area.
May I display or store things outside of my tent?
No. All artwork, displays, supplies, etc must be inside your tent at all times during the event. When hanging signs or artwork on your tent, please do not intrude on your neighbor’s space or cover any signage they may have. Please show courtesy and respect to your neighbors.
May I hang artwork and displays from the poles in my purchased rental tent?
Yes. You may hang artwork from the poles in your tent as long there is no damage to the tent, tent poles or street. Tent poles in the purchased rental tents are 2″ in diameter and can hold a maximum of 80 lbs per pole.
Does my artwork have to be framed?
No. Some artists sell their work in frames, many don’t. Artists often bring a few framed works to compliment the many unframed pieces they bring.
How much of my work should I bring?
You should install enough of your work to fill your tent space. On the other hand, be careful not to overfill your tent. You may want to add a “browse bin” to the display as well. Prints/reproductions should be in your browse bin.
When do I have to be out of my tent on Sunday?
Please remove everything from your tent by 8PM Sunday evening.
