How do I upload an image to appear in the online gallery?
To better sync with the new Zapp application system we have changed how artists upload an art image that will be a part of our searchable database on each event’s website. Through this database visitors to our website will be able to search for you and your artwork.
Once accepted, artists will be able to upload an image and necessary documents through our website for ArtWalk Carlsbad here: https://artwalksandiego.org/carlsbad/artist-upload/. In order to access this new system, you will need your Zapp application ID and the email you used on your application. The image uploaded will be linked to the website listed on your original ArtWalk Zapp application. Our new page layout will feature one image per artist and a link to your website as it was listed on your application.
We hope this proves to be an easier way for artists to upload an image and have a presence on the ArtWalk website without having to create a full profile in addition to their Zapp application.
Is my ArtWalk Carlsbad artist webpage permanent?
The artist pages showcase the work of artists from the current year. For example, if you participate one year, but not the next, your page will come down as the web pages for the next years event go up.
When will my artist webpage be up?
The 2024 participating artist pages will go live on the site in summer 2024. We try to be as prompt as possible in creating web pages.
Can you keep web crawlers from giving spammers my email address?
All artist email addresses on the ArtWalk San Diego website are encrypted to prevent software programs called spiders/crawlers from gathering artist emails for spammers. This protection has been in place since 2003 on the ArtWalk website.
Should I be concerned about fraudulent activity through my ArtWalk Carlsbad Station webpage?
Although your email address is encrypted, it is not possible to prevent this type of activity. If ArtWalk becomes aware of fraudulent offers made to artists, we will send out an email to alert you of the activity. Always be wary of international offers to buy your work. Also be wary of cashier check and wire transfer scams.
